what can I do to correct a cold water pressure issue with my shower?
My shower is now unable to produce cold or lukewarm showers. Only showers at the maximum heat outputted by my water heater (which I had to adjust lower, due to the problem). My shower has a single control; turning itcounter-clockwise is supposed to cycle the temperature from cold to hot. Please help!

You need a new cartridge in your shower valve, most likely.
You can take the old one out yourself and bring it to a plumbing supply store, or just call a plumber.

I think that A has the right answer. In order to change the cartridge in the shower faucet you will probably need to turn the water off to the whole house as they normally do not have shut off valves for showers. But it should be an easy quick job.
