Old Austrian Shilling?
I was living in Austria several years ago (I'm an American). While going through some of my things I found a 500 and a 20 Austrian shilling note. I know they have since switched to the Euro but is it worth anything and if so how much. I guess I should have spent it when I had the chance! lol
I was just wondering if I should bother trying to exchange it or just keep it for sentimental purposes.
Also, is this something that could be worth something in a few years from now as a collectors piece?

When they converted to euro the rate was approx 13 schilling to the euro so it's worth about €1.50. Keep it as a souvenir. It's of no real value - I live in Ireland and I think most people kept some old pre euro pounds, I'm sure it's the same in Austria

Depending when they were issued, you may still be able to exchange them. Have a look at the links below - one is in German though.
