Tekken, Soul Calibur, and Super Smash Bros. are in my opinion the big name players in the fighting genre at the moment. Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and King of Fighters will forever be classics, so no one is about to forget about them. There may be other that deserve mentioning for popularity sake, but I must not be too into them to have noticed. (Forgive me if that's the case.)
To the anime fans, the DBZ and Naruto fighting games are pretty popular, too.

I Like The Dead or Alive games and mortal kombat is my favorite (soul calibur and smash bros are good too).
but not the newer dead or alive games They lost their style.
