Tulsa, OK and old school jazz - does anyone know?

Why can't the arts district in a town that actually has a 'Jazz Hall of Fame' have a place you can smoke, sip, and listen to an upright bass, trap set, sax, organ / keyboard, playing some 60's / 70's style jazz, minimal vocals?

that's funny. here in KC, "the american jazz museum" runs its own jazz based night club venue called "the blue room," and a larger jazz based theatre venue called "the gem." (not to mention all the other jazz or jazz friendly venues in town.) i guess that sort of thing would make too much sense for tulsa.

favorite shows i have seen at each:

the blue room- its hard to pick between fred anderson and al di meola

the gem- very easy to pick, the sun ra archestra on halloween

your welcome for rubbing it in!
