It's not hard to replace, but, It will need to be "Flash Programmed" using a OEM scan tool (Tech 2) before if will begin to function on your vehicle

If I were you I would type this question in to youtube videos ,just ask to show you a how to video o how to replace 2006 Chevy HHR Transmission Control Module? Above is correct, but we stopped using flash programming with the Tech 2 long ago. Now we use a laptop connected to GM's website & pretty much program modules directly now. But it will have to be programmed.
