Theoretically, if LaMarcus Aldridge was on the 08-09 Magic instead of D12, how well would the Magic fair?

In the 2008-2009 NBA season, the Orlando Magic won 59 games and made it to the NBA finals despite all-star point guard Jameer Nelson only playing 5 games and 18 minutes per game in the playoffs. Now, if LaMarcus Aldridge was on the 2008-2009 Orlando Magic how would they do in that season? How would they fair in the future?

In this hypothetical situation, 08-09 Aldridge is 08-09 Aldridge not 13-14 LaMarcus Aldridge. Also, the Dwight Howard would probably not be provoked by LaMarcus Aldridge.

It's really unreasonable, and hard to predict, but how would the Magic do? Will they be a better or worse team in 2008 and how about in the future?

Update:

In the sentence "Also, the Dwight Howard....", I meant the trade that happened between the Lakers and Magic for Dwight.

The team needs Howard's defense more than they need LMA's scoring

Perhaps Van Gundy would have pushed Aldridge into the post more, but that's not his natural inclination (especially in '08-'09) so it would be 5 guys spacing the floor for no one, which would be the exact Magic player playing defense. No one. It would probably look a lot like last season's Blazers, a team that won 33 games. The difference in rim protection and rebounding would be noticeable, especially since LMA is a PF, not a C, and doesn't want to play C (meaning he can't since it's way more physical than he wants to be and requires a skillset he hasn't worked 20 years to develop).

They might have a brighter future because even though LMA has had some drama surrounding being on a losing team, he's not going to get a coach fired or throw his teammates under the bus. He would probably develop differently as well, but that's too much to figure.

Dude stop it. Lamarcus Aldridge is a better player than Dwight right now. But that version of Dwight was better than Aldridge right now.
