how do i stop websites from changing my computer settings?

Theres a website called icandoit.com and it keeps changing my homepage to this website. Also it keeps adding the bing toolbar to my computer. I've went into my internet options and changed my webpage back. I have also deleted the bing bar on numerous occasions. Is there a way to block websites all together on my computer or is there a way to stop this from happening?

What I do is have two browsers for this reason you mention. I use explorer to check out different stuff and buy and I do have bing but my homepage is msn. Unfortunately bing has the flash player attached to it. but I DO NOT SET BING TO HOMEPAGE.

Mabey if you uninstall bing from the programs installation menu under the control panel menu after clicking the windows logo. Then re install and don't set bing to homepage it will work for you.

anyway I also have google chrome. I don't use google just chrome because it has a good translation program for when I want to shop or look at stuff in japan. or use the Sleipnir browser.

Linda, You are getting that page because the Hilton hotel makes you authorize your internet connection usually to make sure you agree you won't do anything illegal using their internet. They are not Hijacking your computer... they are providing YOU internet. You'll know when you get hijacked because viruses will slow down your computer. So here's the answer: USE A DIFFERENT INTERNET PROVIDER that IS NOT a hotel.
