CEO Salaries And "Greed"?
The liberal rant these days is that CEO's are all greedy and should not be able to make the salaries they do because it is too much and they do not need it.
Does this mean that if you want to a limit on what a person is allowed to make while working at a job they have trained for and learned to perform through education and experience that we can limit the amount of lottery winnings someone can claim in a year as well?
If a CEO cannot be allowed to earn $100 million (or whatever the salary), why should someone be able to claim a $300 million lottery winning? It is too much and everyone else did not get it, right? Why should compensation for work be "too much" yet a lucky ticket is just fine?

We don't care what the CEOs make, the problem is when the CEO salaries skyrocket and they freeze the pay of their workers.
so let the CEO earn 100 million but also let the workers get a raise too

Limit the amounts of lottery? Sure.
In fact, I generally favor a maximum salary, be it for athletes, actors, whoever.
Nobody needs an "infinite" amount of money.
I regard it as a cultural thing as much as anything else. a) The planet won't survive "unlimited wants". and b) It is a recipe for the destruction of all humanity in our culture. A man that is dissatisfied with $30 million should be ridiculed as a self-important clown.

What the hell has winning the lottery have to do with CEO pay, and perks? When a CEO screws up instead of firing him they give him the golden parashute package worth millions. But if the janitor screws up. he gets zilch. Then you wonder why we are pissed at the CEOs

You mean the CEOs who have huge retirement packages calling for the elimination of Social Security?
Sounds like greed to me! They want to eliminate SS so they can save their companies the share the companies have to pay into SS! Which means for them it is just another way to raise the profits!

I don't care if a CEO earns a lot of money. I just don't appreciate it when they take subsidies from the government yet continue to take their HUGE bonuses and salary.

I agree. Let's reduce the minimum wage to $1. Because CEOs aren't greedy.

it isn't just CEO's but a large amount of total economic output is concentrated-
Society is harmed greatly-- you could argue hoarding
money doesn't even help the rich very much.

No one is solely complaining that CEO's are making too much money and making money is bad, people are complaining that CEO's are making all this money while their employees are broke.
