I know that the vet can be very pricey and especially when its the holidays. So you need to see if the vet can do a payment plan if though you feel your dog is not getting better. In the meantime try and give the dog a bland diet such as plain steamed white rice whith boneless skinless chicken mixed together or browned ground beef rinsed off with water drained and mix it with white rice. Canned organic pumpkin. Not the pie stuff, just plain pumpkin pureed. Powdered probiotics and have lots of water or ice chips to keep the dog hydrated. Check also to see if the dog food your using has not had any recalls too. Alot of patience and alot of tlc. This is only a temporary solution until he can ne seen by his vet. I wish your dog to feel better. Good luck.

If there is any possibility that he can have parvo take him to the vet ASAP and have him checked

If he is an older regularly vaccinated dog, then parvo is not very likely and it could be that he ate something which did not agree with him at all. If he is playing and energetic this is probably more likely (a dog with parvo is not energetic). If he got rid of whatever bothered his intestines through throwing up he should be OK in a day or two.

He could have ate something he shouldn't have. I'd go to the vet and see if they suggest x-rays. If he did, they can give him medicine to get things rolling or worst case scenario, he will need surgery.

did you change your dogs diet? or did he eat something that he normally doesn't eat? if he is still having diarrhea and throwing up tomorrow take him to the vet!
