Going by the "definition" of Fascism, is America a Fascist Nation?

Con Bots are going to cut and paste stupid quips, but if you look it up, the system we live under is precisely that, a Fascist system.

Corporations own our government officials!

Corporations dictate what they want for legislation!

The Middle Class has no power.

Now how do we take it back!?

First you need a better idea. Look at what happened when Russia figured out things were bad. The nihilists thought things were so bad that if they wrecked everything that whatever came later simply must be better than now because now is so bad. It took years for that to even be arguably true--many would say they traded in one stupid tyrant for a few smarter tyrants.

So, if you want to smash our corporatist government and the greedy bastards it serves, then you need to figure out a better way to run the country. Otherwise you would smash our corporatist government, steal from the greedy bastards, and give the money and power to some brand new (or maybe some of the old) greedy bastards and end up worse than when you started.

Bob, list the most famous fascists of all time in your mind, and then look up how many of them were elected.

No. Businesses have ALWAYS had more influence over the government than the individual. Look up the word 'guild'. This is because without business or some form of 'wealth' (cash, gold or pelts) generating enterprise, there wouldn't even be the 'worker'. Without the business, the worker would be sitting at home on his butt picking his nose, much as tens of millions are now under the great worker's friend, Barack Obama. And how's that working out for you, comrade? No businesses? No job. No job? Well, don't dig too deep in that nose.

Take it back by supporting small businesses and entrepreneurship instead of demanding "rights" like wage increases at your corporate job so you can spend more money at the large corporations that own you.

Of course, it's harder, sometimes more expensive and definitely a lifestyle that would not encourage owning so much "stuff" from China, but, in the end, capitalism can cure America.

Unfortunately, most people simply want to relinquish all the power to the government and corporations in exchange for benefits from government tax money, perks from their corporations and a minimal payment for putting in time doing work of similar personal value and relevance to that of an ant drone.

Our society needs to change to one that it proactive in small business, development and, maybe, reacquire some of the western hardiness, our pride in America and our determination to make this nation great- things we have long lost over the years of simply living off the fat of a superpower.

You wanted a definition, although you gave the wrong one.

    Here's a definition, from Webster's Dictionary:

"a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition"

Notice how that's not the same as what you said, which is a "business-ocracy" (I was unable to find a common word for this). Not fascism.

I can't think of any way to organize large groups of people except through corporations of some kind. The question is whether those corporations operate in the interests of the very few.

Been telling people that for years. Some finally starting to wake up to realization. Fascism or Corporatism is what u get when u give central gov more and more power.

"Now how do we take it back!? "

constitution. No fascism in there. don't just vote for some jackass cause of his colour.

Until elections are suspended, it isn't fascism. Fascism requires a dictator. as Dubya said“If this were a dictatorship it would be a heck of a lot easier... as long as I'm the dictator. Hehehe.”
