Ex boyfriend keeps trying to be friends with me?
I'm in a situation where I'm over my ex whom I don't really keep in touch with but occasionally run into each other and he keeps wanting us to talk again. I know we can't talk as just friends because he'll eventually try to ask for more than a friendship like he has before and it's just awkward to talk to him now. He wants me to just be in his life again as a friend while I'm content without him. What should I do or how do I explain this to him? It's been months since the break up.

well tell him what you feel clearly, just be clear, dont beat around the bush, tell him as it is. if you have feelings for him or no feelings for him or you had once and not there anymore etc.

Why can't you just be friends with him? I mean, if you were already in a relationship, I could see that. I mean I don't talk to my ex girlfriends or friends that are girls because I ask my fiancée to do the same thing and if I am friends with any of my ex's or other friends that are girls I won't look like a hypocrite. but seeing as how I would assume that you are single, seeing as how you didn't say anything about having a new bf, I don't see the problem...
