Why do i sleep so much?
im a 19 year old male. i workout hard, but i don't overdo it, and i eat plenty to compensate. i also sleep at very consistent times and eat very healthy foods. yet every night, i sleep for 10-11 hours. why?

probably because your metabolism runs very high and when you need rest you need lots of rest. Hard workouts will also require more sleep to allow the muscles to rebuild (which they only do during sleep) You many also not be getting a good REM sleep so consequently your body needs more time to sleep. Try setting a pre-sleep routine to signal your body/mind it is time to sleep, then set the alarm clock to wake you up at 9 hours and see how that works. You may be one of those guys whose body needs more rest. If all other body functions are fine then don't worry about it and just try to reset your pattern.

Perhaps your have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Because you could have hypersomnia, it's where you sleep way to much and cant control it.

You are suffering from hyper-somnia this is what I believe !
