Can you help me avoid this?

Going to Cuba with the family. On my last trip there i returned home with a lot of bites on my legs and arms from the knees and elbows down. They seemed to develop at the end of my trip and continued to develop upon returning home. Does anyone know what these could have been and is there any preventative measures you can recommend to avoid this unpleasantness this time? Graçias!

sand fleas they are a problem just about on every beach everywhere in the world. You can look for a sun screen that has a bug repellent in it or apply bug repellent AFTER the sun screen. Usually they don't bother me too much. BUT this year my doc changed up one of my meds and they really seem to like me as I got a lot of bites in the Dominican Republic in Feb, mosquitoes at home in the summer and more sand fleas in Cuba in November.

Baring bug spray you could always just hang out at the pool, but why go all the way to the sun and not hang on the beach.

Avon sells a product called Skin so Soft. It is a repellent. That should work for you.
