my little brother keeps throwing up?
Everyday he throws up once at night but as soon as hes done he goes back to normal and seems ok. This has been going on for a while now. He acts like a normal 5 year old throughout the day and after he finishes throwing up. What can be wrong with him?

He has phlegm in his throat, which makes him throw up.

My first thought would be acid reflux. Sometimes children and adults can deal with that after dinner or just with certain foods. Only most children can't understand let alone articulate what the problem is.
I would try eliminating problem foods at his last meal and/or snack of the day. See if it improves. If not,I would take him to his pediatrician.
-garlic
-onions
-tomatoes and other tomato products
-spicy food (even if only barely spicy can upset a young child's stomach)
-cheese
-carbonated drinks (even those that are caffeine free)
