Why do people hate feminists so much?
People are claiming that feminism is bad because there's a few people that claim to be feminists and want to do bad things, but that's not what feminism is a about to most, such as myself.
It's like when people assume all Muslims are terrorists when really most are very nice. It's just a small group that are terrorists, not an entire people. Feminism is treated the same way.
Why is it so bad to ask for equal pay for women? Or ask that women get treated the same way as men in the justice system? And why is it common for a rape victim to get asked "what were you wearing?", just because people want to excuse the actions of a man?
And before an MRA starts complaining, I want to add:
-Gender roles where created by men in an effort to one up each other. Women aren't forcing you to do anything.
-Abuse women inflict on men often goes unreported because men decided that getting beaten by a girl was shameful.
-Actual feminists do not want to be above you. They want to be equal to you. Any of them that say they want to be above you isn't a real feminist.

There's some feminists out there who are clearly misandrist's or seem to support double standards where it suits women, but I agree "feminism" or "feminist" has become rather socially stigmatised. It gets blamed for everything under the sun, either directly or indirectly, just look at that answer about the divorce rates - someone who is obviously under the impression that people being socially forced into remaining married to a husband or wife they can't stand or are no longer in love with was a "good thing".
The rape issue is one of those topics that stirs up emotion on both sides - especially with the way the media now reports cases of women falsely accusing men of rape, which is statistically rare (in the US only 1% of reported rapes are proven to be false), however newspapers like the Daily Mail give the impression it's happening all the time - meanwhile the genuine victims and their perpetrators get forgotten and there's the misogynist elements of the mens rights community that want to bring in laws which would eventually mean rapists get away with it, and false accusers are given an even harder sentence than actual rapists.

People, nowadays, are trying so hard for things to stay the same but we are in a world that has been evolving and changing for such a long time now. People believe that if one person is a certain way then so are the rest of the people who are even a little bit like them. We have too many closed minded people who force their views and opinions on others yet they will not consider the opinions and thoughts that go to them.
I am not a feminist, but I know of them. The feminists I know about are the ones who make feminism look horrible. What makes me different is that I understand that not every single feminist is that way. Some people you simply cannot change so there is no point in trying.

Feminists has always been a hate group from the start. If you were for equality; you would be an Egalitarian not a man-hating feminists. Feminism promotes cultural marxism and it's written in all of your feminists leaders books. Nothing has been done to be equal but only superior to men. Your group has allowed you to run around as a heathen(slut walks and walking nude), emasculating men(walk a mile in her shoes and so on), afraid to sign up for the draft like all men have to in order to vote, child molestation, abortion i.e. murder and so on. Yet, women are never locked up for the same crimes as men but let back out to keep on being a burden to society. But you claim to be about being equality. What a joke.
