i lost my abuilty to send and recieve text messages from my yahoo mail acount how do i get it back?

i think it happened when i changed to internet explorer 9 not sure tho as i don't use it all the time can any one tell me how to get it back i think it was called sms messaging as i was able to send and receive text messages from my computer to my friends on there mobile phones now iv had a few problems and rite before that i changed my internet explorer to (I-E 9) AND I THINK THE PROBLEMS STARTED ABOUT THAT TIME, ALSO i had some work done on my puter and virus removed they puy the free version of AVG internet security well that run out so i bought the paid version and removed the free version and installed the 80,00 paid version now some how i got a virus and i did a system restore and it did that a couple of times as i every couple of months it started showing signs of slowing down and acting up so i did the system restore again and 2-3 more times as it kept having problems every couple of months, NOW ONCE IN A WHILE A BOX POPS UP MAKES A WEIRD SOUND AND the error message a box appears and it reads ...........error run DLL, error loading c:/users/brian/appdata/ play to-1/update.dill the specified module could not be found.WHEN I TRY TO LOAD A UPDATE FROM WINDOWS LIVE COULD NOT INSTALL PROGRAM THAT I ALREADY HAVE A DIFFERENT BUILD OF FLAVOR OF WINDOWS LIVE,as far as the system restore is involved its saying a restore point could not be created for the following reason, a shadow copy provider had an unexpected error while to process the specified operation (0x8004230f),,,,,please try again ( OK, REVIEW PROBLEMS TRYING TO RUN SYSTEM RESTORE) #2 my AVG UPDATER HAS FAILED, NO UPDATES WILL INSTALL ,,, THE RESTORE ISSUE IS MY MAIN CONCERN RITE NOW AND THE TEXT MESSAGES SMS FROM YAHOO, THANKS FRANK
