all I want for Christmas (hockey)?

Kenny Holland is in a giving mood. he would like to share his "wealth" of forwards with the rest of the league. First he would like to give Philly a slightly used up version of Dan Cleary along with an apology for preventing him from signing earlier. But it should be noted that the gift includes only a one year deal for much less than the Flyers almost overpaid.

Next Kenny would like to give away a Patrick Eaves. He isn't asking for much of a return gift, a Christmas card or a bag of pucks would be fine.

Since we are in a giving mood lets not stop now....how about Mikael Samuelsson? Instead of asking for a card in return Kenny says take him and Kenny will send you 2 cards and a case of pucks too!

Who knew giving would be so much fun? Kenny has the spirit so lets keep on giving. 2nd line centers are hard to find but Kenny says lets make amends to the Panthers for taking away the face of their franchise. It was wrong and Kenny feels horrible so Kenny would like to make up for that by simply sending Steven Weiss back to Florida and to show how sincere the remorse he is willing to send a TooToo along hoping this makes up for the way he wronged them.

And of course lest we forget there are a lot of teams that could use a defenseman. To whichever teams want to win the Reinhart or Ekblad draft sweepstakes really bad we have a guy who can give away pucks well enough to help you succeed in winning the lottery. So to Calgary we offer Kyle Quincey.

And all we ask in return is say a Keith Yandle or similar talent. Thank you Santa for your time and may you bring Wings fan everywhere the gift of a real puck moving defenseman.

I'll take on TOR's David Nonis.

Dave Nonis would like a first line centre and a top-four defenceman for Christmas. Possibly a head coach who doesn't eat paste. He also wants to know if anyone would like a slightly-used David Clarkson and an almost-new Bon Jovi banner (thankfully it was taken down last night).

Fire Noel. But how can you fire Noel at Christmas?! That just blew my mind. I'm not even sure who we could get to replace him, I'd want Brent Sutter but he seems content back in the WHL. Simply put, the Jets are built for the East, not the West, and coaches get canned first before changes to the roster are made. The status quo can no longer suffice here in Winnipeg!
