so, my parents got rid of my cockatiel I ve had for 10 years because my brother was annoyed by its cry, now to make it better for me they got me some zebra finches, they even had a baby but now, we have to get rid of then for the same reason. I was really pissed and ended putting the cockatiel story in their faces going like: yeah well, you got rid of my cockatiel I ve had for 10 years! all because you can t control your son from getting violent because of bird noises.
then they called me cruel.
am I?

No, parents don't mean what they say sometimes. Try to get a quite pet like a cat, guinea pig, ... or a fish.

well the main issue here to seems to be your brother. if he finds all your pets to be noisy , then there is something definitely wrong with him.
