volunteering in high school?

I was wondering if I could go out of United States to volunteer. Will it count? I will be helping out the baby sea turtles in greece. Plus it will kind of be a nice vacation for me.

But will it count towards the volunteering thing? Do I have to volunteer in United States only?

    This sounds like a good volunteering opportunity. You can definitely volunteer outside of the US, but make sure you keep track of the hours you acquire. College apps will want that.
