Christians, what does the GOD of Jacob really think about Christmas? scripture refernces please.?

Jeremiah 10:1-5

Christmas is not mentioned in Scripture, because it has been established as a Christian holiday since the Bible was written. It was a pagan holiday as are many religious holidays nowadays.

That doesn't mean I don't celebrate Christmas. It is a good time to reflect on what God has done for me. But I don't treat it as a commercial holiday.

The Word of God warns Christians, "Not to be conformed to the ways of this world." We either look 'like', act 'like Christ, or we look 'like', act 'like...the world.

Christians are to be set apart from this world so that we can be the salt of the earth and a sweet smelling savor.

Only a Holy God can institute days set apart for celebration. Not man. It is a "mockery" to have Christmas = GIFTmas, in which people swarm into stores to buy stuff...for one another and never give a second thought whose birthday is supposed to be celebrated.

If that were true, where is Jesus' gift? We should be His gift and be ...pleasing to Him. Not self and/or what makes us 'feel' good (sensualism).

And that brings up another area of Christmas being a "mockery" to almighty God. Since when is Santa Claus supposed to "share" God's glory? God shares His glory with no one. We have made Santa Claus into a false god for children and it is our fault. The Word of God tells us that God "hates" liars, and yet we sugar coat lies to our children and justify it by telling children that Santa is REAL, and then when they find out the truth... can't trust adults because they were lied to. Then our children grow up and copy what we've taught them, because of what "this world" taught us. Think about that.

If you look at Jeremiah 10:2-4, it certainly sounds symbolic of a "Christmas tree." Interesting. Read what the Lord says...

"Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not."

And by the way, our "finite" opinions, what we think, what we perceive, our ideas, etc., doesn't matter to a Holy God. Only His Word matters. Obedience matters.

Follow the Word of God. Not the word of man, nor the ways of this world. If it isn't in the Word of God, then it is not absolute truth.

Romans 12:2 says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

God forgive us.

Even though some are convinced about Jeremiah 10 being about Christmas trees, I am not so convinced. I think God sees (it's just me guessing, okay?), a pagan ritual with Christian trappings. It's a part of what happened with the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches. They took pagan ideas and Christianized them.

However, even as bad as I'm making it sound, the redeemed are known by God. Christmas is a weed growing in the field along with his own people. IT's inert for them. It's not affecting their faith, it's just growing along side with their Godly knowledge, tending to limit the "fruit" they can produce.

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON SURE ENOUGH TO US. CLOUDED TO UNBELIEVERS.

FROM A MESSIANIC POINT IN MY OPINION ANOTHER BIBLE FEAST , OR FAST HOLIDAY HAD TO OCCUR TO FULFILL PROPHECIES SIGNIFYING O JEWS AND GENTIELS THAE IMPORTANCE. WAS OCCURING.

THERE WAS NO ROOOM AT THE INN AS THE LORD HIMSELF HAD COM TO USHER IN IN HIS PLANS AS THE GOD OF JACOB BECAME GOD OF ISRAEL ALSO.

WE HONOUR GOD AS WE HONOUR MESSIAH HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON.

THE TERM NEW COVENAT WAS PROPHEZISED IN THE BOOK OF JEREMIAH

P\RTS OF THAT INCLUDE WRITTEN IN YOUR HEART. MEANING THAT THE WORD IS WITHIN THEM OF HE CHOSEN PEOPL;E OF JEWS AND ALSO THE GENTILES CALLED BY HIS NAME.

IT MEANT THAT ONE DAY AS THE LORD MADE A NEW COVENANT WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL REFERNCE CHAPTER 33 THERABOUTS

WE ARE TOLD TO TRAIN UP CHILDREN IN THE WAY THEY SHOULD GO, SO IN ESSENCE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD HAD COME WITHA SIGN IN THE SKY OBEYED BY THE MAGI WHO REALIZED ABD WERE ESCORTING THE LORD JESUS CHRIST PARENTS TO A PLACE TO STAY IN BETHLEHEM.

BEHOLD I WILL SEND FORTH MY RIGHTEOUS SERVANT AND HIM YE SHALL HEAR.
