I'm sure you know very well what will happen.
It will go to collections. You will receive many letters and phone calls. Eventually it will find it's way to court - they will get a judgment. Which means they can garnish your bank account and work wages. And if you think you can't afford the interest now - wait til you find out it will wind up costing you twice what you owe now - with fees, court costs, and the interest on all of it.
Plus your credit will be shot to heck. Which will affect getting credit for car loans, apartments, even jobs for years to come.
So best to make at least the minimum payment every month until you can pay more and get it paid off.

Your best option is to call a bankruptcy attorney and ask what your options are.
