22 year old dating a 16 year old? serious question!! :)?

When people say that "there is no age for love", i think that quote is a litttle too vague. I think that at an age like 16 you should only be dating people 1-2 years older than you, and three is the absolute max. When your younger it seems odd to date people 5-6 years older than you, so thats why i reccomend 1-2 years older. Plus the 16 year old is not even legal yet. Also a problem of dating a teenager when your 22 is that they might not be ready for the things you would like to do or at one point seem a little too immature for you. But after they are past 20, i think it is acceptable for you to date them even if you are 6 years older than them. I would say hold- off the relationship for awhile, let the person grow up and experience, and if the love is still there try it again a few years later and i'm sure there will be a better chance of a happy ending! Dont give up on love if its worth it, just let them go for awile until it's time! I hope to you the bestest of luck and happy holidays! :)

It's bad if it's illegal where you live. Some states in thier 'age of consent law' have provisions for those over 18 to not date under 18 year olds. You need to search 'age of consentl law-(your state)' to see what's legal and not legal before you do.
