Can i hug my teacher at all?

Im 17 a senior in high school and a guy. There's this teacher (a sub) and she is perfect in every way and she's 22. I suppose you could say I have feelings for her and I'm very sure she knows it and by the looks we give eachother at times she might perhaps like me also.. Yes I know relationships are not allowed. But are we allowed to hug each other? I have hugged her once before prom last year and she embraced my hug. But I know girls hugging male teachers has raised issues before and I think this is completely different if it's a woman.

I couldve hugged her today before the end of school because we're going on break, but I didn't because the principle was like right there , I'm shy a hell and i didnt know if she would want one. I'm actually 90%sure she would love a hug but I'm a shy little ***** so I didn't haha.
