Details in description: Is it OK for me to not be friends with someone over this?
I have a best friend. She's great most of the time, one of the best friends I ever had. But... my ex, not so great. In fact he was abusive. He sexually assaulted me for 2 years and even raped me.
My best friend knows this. But she's still friends with him. Is that OK? Am I just overreacting because if the role was reversed, it wouldn't even be a question about how much I despise the guy?
Every time I see evidence of their friendship it kills me so much. I have nightmares all the time.
I love her, but should I really be friends with her still if she can't stand in solidarity with me?
Sorry about the bluntness of my rape confession. I like to be straight to the point.

talk to her. tell her it bothers you and why. See how she responds Ultimately, though, you need to decide whether you want to be friends with this girl if she still talks to the guy, because although she may change her behavior, she also might not. You have to figure out if it's better for you to have her as a friend if the guy is still around or not to.
