What county should I move to in florida?

Im am dead SICK AND TIRED of the winters in Iowa, so I want to move to Florida where it never snows. I will be finishing college next year and I wish to move out to Florida. I would like to know what part of Florida I should go to based on these conditions:

I dont want to be under the threat of a hurricane, so away from the coast.

I have a dog, so somewhere pet friendly

I have access to alligator viewing and tiny geckos. In fact just all the cool wildlife, Florida has amazing fauna.

I want to be within reasonable driving distance to Disney/sea world/Orlando studios.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I want to live in a quiet suburban area, away from rowdy vacationers.

Also include average cost of apartments in suggestions please. Not all these conditions need to be met, theyre just preferences

Update:

Polk county Florida?? I live in Polk county now O_O Im in Des Moines.

Where ever you can get a job. I highly recommend you obtain that first.

I live in Pasco county. My drive to Universal Studios is about an hour and a half, my drive to the gulf is about 40 minutes. Plus, the taxes are low for somewhere so close to Tampa. Also, there are some REALLY country areas in Pasco. My sister lives in Dade City, and it literally looks like you're in another state all together with how high the hills can get.

I live in Volusia County and I like it just fine here. Close enough to everything, yet far away enough for some peace and quiet. I am coastal, though there hasn't been a hurricane here since '04.

You're a little mis-informed about hurricanes. Check history many of them come across the state so living inland does not make you immune to them. Go to www.realtor.com and search by city. Generally from Tampa south is good.
