Need Helping upgrading my old Dell PC's CPU?
So my $1000 laptop that I used for gaming/school broke, and I'm stuck with this old PC I haven't used in 3 years.
Recently I upgraded its ram to 4k and gaming is slightly faster but the main problem right now is the CPU because whenever i browse the internet or play games it goes to 100% usage sometimes. Its very outdated and Windows Experience Index gave it the lowest rating of 4.1.
What kind of CPU should I buy that will be compatible with this pc that is under or around $90 preferably AMD or Intel whichever gives the best performance and comes with a good heatsink.
For more info on the computer it has a 300 watt power supply and the GPU is a Nvidia Geforce GT 220
here is info on the cpu and mother board http://i42.tinypic.com/2je42z9.png
I don't want to spend too much on this because Im planning to build another PC when I have enough money but for now this needs to be upgraded slightly just so I can play League of Legends and minecraft with good/higher FPS.
(also would be a great christmas gift if someone could give me their old gaming pc or laptop, mind as well ask, you don't have to)

Most laptops have CPUs that can't be upgraded.
If you want to speed up your laptop, I suggest you buy a SSD instead.... that will give you an incredible speed burst.
As far as you CPU Usage... it sounds like you have TOO MANY PROGRAMS running or even a bad/corrupted/outdated driver installed. Go to Device Manager to check to for yellow icons.
You also said the computer was over 3 years old. You may not realize this.. but Windows requires a new/clean reinstall every 6 months to keep it running smoothly. If that computer has never had a new reinstall... then the registry is probably filled with junk ... and uninstalling old programs will still leave fragments on the computer. If you have the original disks... I recommend that you just wipe clean the computer and reinstall Windows... that will eliminate your lag.
Do you have an antivirus installed? AV programs written today are designed for computers sold today... so if you have it installed on a system 3+ years old.. then you will have severe lag. Trust me... I've seen it all (I'm a computer pro). What you need to do is go into the AV settings and TURN OFF active protection. That will eliminate the lag. Just keep your schedule scans running and you'll be fine. The truth is... AV programs really aren't needed and are a waste... all you need is a good Malware Scanner, instead.. since most programs are called by spyware and malware... Malwarebytes is the best on the market.
