How to make lights in photo blurred? (Nikon D5000)?
I'm trying photography right now, and I've been loving these kinds of photos. More specifically where the lights are blurred and round.

How can I make my camera take a photo like that or do I have to do it in photoshop?

Use manual focus. Take the shot slightly out of focus - you need to experiment to get the effect you like

That's just unfocused blur. For a shot like that, just switch to manual focus (there's usually a switch on the lens marked AF/MF) and defocus the image.
If you want a foreground subject on focus in front of blurry lights then you have the camera close to your subject and your subject far from the background (where the lights are) and shoot with the aperture as wide as it will go.

The image is just out of focus.
To do it, put the camera on manual focus. Then take an out of focus image of a christmas tree and lights.
