Add 40% over your wildest expectations for a 'reserve price' and list the 55 Harley Davidson panhead for parts on E-bay as "complete/ non-repairable/ for parts".
Look into E-bay's re-list policies if your reserve is posted too high? If you wait until the end of February you will see a lot more traffic than the last weeks of December!
Post a photo of frame and all the parts you have for the greatest amount of 'visits'
There are companies that will show up at your door crate all the parts and fame on a pallet and ship it anywhere. Contact these people and see how they feel about a "crate of parts" before you list the bike? (Would driving for that company make you feel like Santa Clause or what?)

I would post it, "only known missing part: oil pump" at somewhere around $6,000 (or higher!) and announce it as a 'fire sale' reserve dropping $500 with every repost waiting 30 days or more between postings if allowed to post until sold! ...It's a long time until August when you place $500 in your pocket for every month that doesn't pass.

You should just send it to me. It isn't worth anything! Actually,It depends What parts you have,What parts are salvageable,Whether there is a good title and how far it has been disassmbled. Also the buyer could be kinda dumb and pay too much! The history of the bike can make a difference too. A freinds 1956 pan was ugly as hell, painted with a brush. It sold for $126000 at auction in @2006. He won the Jackpine on it 3 times and many other races. If it is an all original bike,in running condition, with no history,They are selling for 15 to 25000 dollars,FLH models are a little more desirable then FL's. If the engine, only needs a top end and is all there, the transmission and frame are in good shape,2-3000 is fair add 500-1000 if the front end is good Original side shift tanks can bring $1000 alone,The aftermarket ones aren't real good. My freind has a '55 in an aftermarket frame, basically a black hardtail bobber, with 12 volt conversion ,He has turned down several $8000 offers.

I'd give good money just for the frame as long as it's not chopped up. I have the rods to check to see if frame is straight. Do you have the clutch booster aka mouse trap?
Hmmm. Smelling a project.
Edit: did a little checking excellent condition(restored close to 16-19k) poor condition not running but complete 5-6500. So like someone else said put it on eBay. I'd set the reserve for minimum of 2500. Make a post if you eBay it.

have most parts, without actually knowing what is there and what is useable its very hard to give you a fair estimate. You also didnt say anything about a title? However with a title and good useable cases and an untouched unchopped frame you have at least two thousand dollars to the right buyer.

How much should you sell it for? Classically: an amount that makes you and the buyer equally unhappy.
The unknown missing parts, unknown condition of those you have etc makes a better answer very difficult..

Depends on where you live, if the frame has been modded, how many OEM parts are still good, if it has a title, tins with good paint, useable bottom end that matches frame...
Probably a couple grand no matter what...
