Accessory not certified iOS 7?

everything worked fine on iOS 7.0.3. I upgraded to iOS 7.0.4 and now every time I connect I get an error saying that the accessory (lightning cable) is not certified. why was it working before and what changed?! I'm on an iPod touch 5g and now I need to conserve battery life because of this!

Update:

I have used different USB's. And no matter what device I pug it into (I plugged into my Xbox also) it still gives the error.

Why should I get another one if it worked previously!

iTunes isn't the problem, it's the iPod. It blocks the connection.

Update 2:

Also, when I plug it in without the USB in anything, it gives the error. It takes 10 seconds to respond and it won't receive any charge even if it does get plugged in.

That's Crapple for you. Once again, Steve Jobs is looking to rip people off from beyond the grave. Avoid Crapple products like the plague. That is the only way to rid your home of the evil ghost of Steve Jobs!

I use Android products. They are much more powerful and they work with universal accessories without any special software or hardware to install.

    1. try using another USB slot on ur PC. i hope there are more than 1 since most modern PCs have at least 3. mind does.

    2. if not, get a new lightning cable. make sure u get one at an apple store. not some random store on the streets.

it must be certified by apple to work properly with itunes.

    3. if the USB cable isn't the issue uninstall + reinstall itunes.
