Should I be worried because I got a C in college?
The past year and this year has been very disappointing for me. I feel very lonely, most of my friends are gone. The past months I've been going to college and working. Getting paid the minimum wage and working full time is not Easy at all. Specially because I started having lots of problems at work. The only reason why I smiled every day was because I knew that one day I will be successful in life if I do well in college. Not all my grades are posted yet but so far I got a C which makes me very sad. I was doing well until the final came. I'm not trying to blame the teacher but she was a bad teacher. is very frustrating to know that in my first semester of college I got a C. I have to take 5 semesters of math in order to graduate from engineering science, I don't want to repeat the class because then is going to be 6. Would I still be able to attend to a good college? Is there any way I can improve my grade? Please someone tell me what to do?

You will get into a college, one C grade will not stop that. I don't think you need to repeat that class for one C final grade. Wait to see all of your grades, then if it looks bad to you post all your grades so that Yahoo Answers can judge your whole semester. Good luck.
I was a college professor of education.

If you're on a grant or scholarship of sorts, then yes you need to worry-it all depends on the class. In some cases it's better to withdraw and take it later than get a C. The only way to improve the grade is to take the class over, and learn how to adapt to a teachers style of teaching.

My advice is that while grades are important, they are not personality defining, concentrate on those areas that bring joy and you will excel in those, not only that but your sadness may lift due to true joy in what you do.
Remember; It is the journey that matters! Enjoy it!
