I had a molar extracted last week?

It has a pointy tooth? Bone? Sticking out. Around that area is painful and swollen. Do I need to go back?

    nope that will fall out...our teeth are encased in that bony area, once the swelling goes down you won't feel it or the shard will fall out. Research tooth extractions and you will find out what I mean.
