Here's a few things.
First, make sure the games you have, you want because it's something that appeals to you, not because it's popular with the masses. Not that popular games are bad, but I find a lot of gamers tend to choose their games based on what everyone else thinks rather than their preference in genre, developers, franchise etc...
Second, don't do the whole play for half a day straight or more in one sitting unless you've been like busy for a week before hand and just want to veg out. Take your time with the game, play for a few hours and then go do something else. Traditionally most of us play until we're finished the game, but if you have several games lined up and you have nothing else to do (because holidays), that is a quick way to burn out. Take a time out after a few hours and spend time with friends or something.
Finally, don't feel compelled to play games back to back. Now if you have a lot of games to play that might be an issue, in which I would refer back to point one, and give priority to games you really want to play, and leave the others for a rainy day when you're bored.
Sometimes really the best way to prevent burnout is to be a bit more picky in which games to dive into.

Limit the time you play every day. Like only 2 hours or whatever and stick to it. Try different genres on different days.
