Help on trying to gain weight?

I'm gonna start working out again soon and I'm trying to put on weight(muscle). I weigh 140 and I'm trying to get to 150. I want to know what's the best method. I heard I'm supposed to just keep eating and eating but that's not really helping and having a really high metabolism just makes it harder. I also heard that drinking milk helps but with my high metabolism should i drink whole, 2%, or 1% milk? I was also thinking of using whey protein as well

    ON Gold Stander-ed WHEY protein is the best, try and take it twice a day with milk !
