Help me PLZ IM FREAKIN OUT?
My dog is a rat terrier with a lot of character. My friends dog is anikita they both love me a lot as in they follow me everywhere and they get overprotective of me. But for some reason when I'm just chillin THEY FIGHT for my attention how can I Make them stop? I'm scared cuz I love em both and I don't want to see either of them to get hurt. Help me PLZ.

your dog is more important. don't let him feel like second best. but don't let him protect you. you protect him. a little growling is ok. are you babysitting?

If there ever is a fight you won't have to worry about the Akita. He will kill your terrier as effortlessly and without emotion as you blink your eyes and breathe.
You're not a professional dog handler so you shouldn't be handling these dogs together AT ALL if they are actually fighting. You said FIGHT in caps so I'm assuming they are actually going at it.
For whatever reason these dogs can't be together. Maybe one or both weren't socialized but the reason is of little consequence at this point. You can try working with a professional who can work with the dogs hands on but you may have limited or no success with that.
Dogs don't need friends. Your dog doesn't need to "chill" with the other dog and vice versa. Leave your dog at home when you visit your friend and ask your friend to do the same. Problem solved.
