Are perfumes prohibited?
My friend said that you're not allowed to wear perfume cos you might attract the opposite gender. Is this true that you cant wear it?

No, perfumes are not prohibited if used wisely. Both women and men are allowed to apply perfume but on certain conditions.
women shouldn't apply it while going outside because it attracts the opposite gender as you already stated.
They can apply for their spouse but when in "Home" that no stranger or na-Mehrum get its fragrance.
Btw its Sunnah to use perfume. And one thing also about which i am not sure but is said to use the alcohol free perfumes for Muslims because i heard that if you have alcohol on your clothes or body than your wudu and namaz will not be accepted. Not sure about it but precautions won't harm you.

That's the point of perfume, to attract others. I've never heard of them being prohibited except in places like an airport maybe.

No it's not, women can't wear perfume outside but they can wear it 4 their husbands INSIDE in the home
only prohibition for women is outside and men can wear it inside or out

No, they are not prohibited. The origins of perfumes lies in the Middle East and was popularly traded during the times of the prophet.

Dalam No perfumes are not prohibited in Islam even it is recommended that we use it when we are going to the mosque based on hadith.For females must use light smell pefumes

Men can wear any perfume, but women can wear only
perfume of limited fragrance, in Islam.

As long as it's alcohol free.
Attar is good.
