Is it possible to have a mind without satan constantly whispering bad stuff? Can he leave us alone? If so what can you do to be released from shaytan? & how do we know that it is shaytan who whispers bad?

Satan tries to misguide the Muslims who tries to get on the right path.
Recite Tauz before starting every work as it will prevent Satan indulging with you. Recite Surah Nas too the translation is:
"Say you, I came in the refuge of the Lord of all mankind;
King of all,
God of all,
From the evil of him who whispers evil designs in the heart and slinks away.
Those who whisper in the hearts of mankind.
Jinn and men."
Also recite "La hao-la wa-la ku-atta illa billa hil ali il azeem"

recite the Qur'an and seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan.
