So will Marc Trestman get fired if the Bears go 9-7 and miss the playoffs?

Because Lovie Smith got fired because of a 10-6 record so it would only make sense for him to be fired.

BQ: Where will Brandon Weeden be next year? and Starter or back up as it seems Jason Campbell has proved he can be a starter in the NFL.

If he goes 9-7 he is in the playoffs!

If he goes 8-8 and misses the playoffs he still will be the Bears Head Coach.Unless the Bears would totaly collapse in his 2nd year I see Trestman as the HC for a minimum 3 years

Personally, I believe that the Chicago Bears made a huge mistake by firing Lovie Smith. In my opinion, Lovie is one of the best head coaches in the game of football.

BQ: Actually, it depends on his work ethic during this offseason. If Brandon Weeden works hard and performs very well in practice every day, he will greatly improve his chances of getting signed to play for an NFL team next season.

He should be. Lovie Smith got fired for going 10-6. I only see a Trestman led Bears team, going downhill from here.

No trestman has rejuvenated the offense and the defense has sucked all year granted urlacher isn't there and Tillman has battled injuries is no excuse look for a huge defensive signing and an attempt to get someone like khalil mack from buffalo in the draft mid first round although buffalo way get him first considering he in the position they need and he's from UB Brandon weeden on the other hand could go to Minnesota, NYJ, or Jacksonville are my 3 top thoughts

Yeah, it kind of makes me laugh that they fired Lovie Smith and all the fans hated him even though they went 10-6...So in steps Marc Trestman and the team finishes with a worse record.

No, but Chicago is a VERY demanding city. I am a Chicago native and if a team or coach does not do well, we are all over him/them. An example of this would be Jay Cutler. He is a good player, but when he throws an interception or gets sacked it is automatically his fault when in reality it is usually on the offensive line (it is much better this year, though). Ultimately, he will not get fired but will after time if he misses the playoffs next year and the year after if he is lucky.

No but if they fail to make the playoffs for several years straight then like Smith he will get fired, if the Bears had been in the playoffs every year but simply failed to make it in his last year Smith wouldn't have lost his job.

The Bears will be in the playoffs if there 9-7 because they play the Packers in a winner take all game.

Trestman has done an incredible job this year, amazing how good their offense has become in just 1 year.

No because Trestman is not expected to lead the Bears to the playoffs this year. This is like a rebuilding year for them.
