got a date coming up. essentially my first date. ideas?
so I've been trying to get with this friend of mine for months now, and i finally got up the courage to ask her, and she said yes. but now that I got the date, i'm at a loss for what to do once we're on said date. i risked our friendship for a chance at a relationship with her, so i need this date to go well. I'm 20 years old and this will be my first date where curfews and parents aren't involved, so i'm really confused on what we could possibly do. i have a feeling that at our age a movie isn't going to cut it. help?
Edit (to comment): yes, rachel. i told her a while back that i was into her. i guess she was just waiting for me to actually make the jump and ask before she said yes. plus, i used a fantastic metaphor to lead up to the question (she knows how my mind works and is extremely intelligent, so yes, she got it.)

Be yourself and take her somewhere where there's something to fill in any potential awkward pauses such as the places Woofy suggested. Don't be super nervous, just act like there's no pressure because there really isn't. She's your friend, she won't give up on you even if you mess up this date (I'm sure you won't though). If she said yes she probably like you as you are so don't try to fake anything, girls are good at seeing through that. Also, make sure she knows its a date... yea that is really awkward... trust me lol. Otherwise, just focus on having a good time and so will she! Good luck!!

Maybe a coffeeshop with live entertainment first, then a movie. Yes it will cut it, it would be fun!
A meal, a light walk, take one step at a time. A hockey game? Be confident, and anything like that would be fantastic.
