I'm on Pristiq for panic attacks.Should I wait to start driving again?
I have had bad panic attacks recently,and my doc put me on Pristiq,and it's working great. I'm about to start seeing a therapist,and that therapist will set me up w/a resident psychiatrist. I typically have panic attacks when I'm driving,so I've been afraid to drive very far,even while on the Pristiq. I love taking riding lessons,but my trip to my instructor's barn requires a really long drive. Should I wait and see if the psychiatrist wants to put me on any more medication before testing myself?

Hi Kelly, you have to feel comfortable in how far your drive and it might not be a bad idea having someone with you when you decide too. If you have any questions I would talk it over with the psychiatrist, they may have some tools/exercises for you to use to help you with your driving.
