1 A-Rod is benched and sues so he can play

gets hit on the first pitch he sees and ends up

in a 2 year long coma

2 Replay reviews adds almost 45 minutes to each game

3 The Yankees suffer almost the worst season any New York Baseball team since 1962

4 All Star games ends in more controversy as all players are used and game still tied

5 Umpires make major mistake in a review thus it is overturned later

and game replayed from that point causing a team a playoff spot

6 a doubleheadrer turns into 2 nohitters the same day

each team has a no hitter

7 a pitcher almost does the impossible back to back perfect games

a bunt breaks up the second perfect game with 2 outs in the ninth

8 More than one Umpire will be wearing glasses

    9 Cubs lose 110 games

10 Pirates win WS over Rangers

Well you aren't asking a question but I will give my feedback about your predictions.

    1. They have a solid team, but I do not think they will have a better record than the Dodgers and maybe a few other teams. They *might* win their division and they will quite likely make the playoffs, but they will not finish with the best record.

    2. No. After what happened last year, I do not see the Dodgers starting poorly, nor do I see them pulling the trigger on firing Mattingly unless he makes some REALLY stupid moves, or the players stop responding to him altogether.

    3. Nope. Worst case scenario is 211 games. Not "for life."

    4. No. You got it mostly right. They will not miss due to injuries, though. There are just 5 better teams than them.

    5. No. For the Mariners to win the wild card, they would have to have better records than: whoever finishes 2nd in the AL East, plus the Royals and Indians in the Central, plus the Rangers or A's in the West. (Not to mention the Angels, who are getting overlooked and could actually have a good season in 2014.)

    6. No. Kershaw will win in the NL again, and there are at least a dozen pitchers better than Lester in the AL.

    7. Cubs are not going to get anyone that good. Nice try.

    8. I'll buy this one... it's entirely possible. But I see someone other than Posey in the NL, especially since the Giants will not contend for the playoffs.

    9. I don't think Boston has it in them. They're getting old, man.

    10. Two consecutive years IN A ROW? How does that happen? <end sarcasm> Seriously though, I don't see Boston even making it out of the AL this year. Too many teams with great lineups and better pitching than Boston. They got lucky this year with Lester and Lackey actually pitching well and staying healthy. Won't happen two years in a row.

I applaud you for your brave predictions, but I don't see any of them coming 100% true. Time will tell.

    1. People will wonder about the Red Sox and why they aren't doing well.

    2. The Dodgers will not beat the Tigers in the World Series

    3. The Tigers will win 85 games

    4. It will be come evident that Mr. Verlander is getting old

    5. Mr. Verlander will get married

    6. The Cubs will not win the WS

    7. The WS will be won by a team from the American League

    8. I will not be happy with the way the 2014 season goes

    9. The Cards will be one of the four finalists in the playoffs but won't win the WS

    10. Mr. Fister will win 35 games.

    2. The yankees fail to reach the post season due to lack of pitching.

    3. Shin-soo choo becomes an enormous waste of money.

    4. The Orioles win the AL east.

    5. The Cardinals dont make the playoffs.

    6. Ian Desmond and Mike Trout win MVP Awards.

    7. The Angels win the AL West.

    8. Masahiro Tanaka is a bust.

    1. I think that's possible, Punk.

    2. Don's bleeds Dodger Blue, so I doubt that one.

    3. I don't think so, but if he goes down that way, he won't go down easy.

    4. I think injuries will be ONE of the factors; the A-Rod distraction will be another.

    5. I disagree; Cano will BURN up the record books in 2014.

    6. No opinion.

    7. No opinion.

    8. No opinion.

    9. I don't think they are that strong, and based on your #2, I find it doubtful the Dodgers would be there after an in-season manager change.

    10. Like #9, I don't think they've got the strength for a repeat.

    GO CARDS!

I just read "predictions for 2014", and was going to say, at this point my # 1 prediction is I think the Texas Rangers are going to raise a lot of hell in 2014, that trade with Detroit was a classic trade where both teams improved themselves. Ironically your # 1 comment was right on, but nobody knows yet what will happen in the 2014 play-offs, too many intangibles. Regardless the people of northern Texas should have a memorable baseball season this summer.

I hope for my sake about number one you are wrong. I've been a Rangers fan since I was in first grade and would love to see them do well in playoffs. It pains me they lost in 2011 and we will not feel good about that until we win one of our owns.

I don't see any of those happening to be quite honest with you. I think MLB is too chicken to do anything serious like banning A-Rod.
