Florist Business at home?

I enjoy flower arrangement and have taken some courses on it in the past. I like to do it as a hobby and also to fulfill my artistic passion. I currently have a full time job, but I am considering doing something on the side as a florist but I am not interested in running a floral shop or doing it full time.

I was wondering if it is possible to maybe do it from home just on the side for unique event? I am not thinking anything big or care much for a huge clientele. I would like some profit but I'm really not aiming for huge profit either. I can maybe do online advertisement/website and local people can request what they want and I can deliver them? Does anyone have any experience with this and maybe help guide me on the proper steps to make this possible? Are there any legal issues that I should be aware of?

Thank you very much,

Update:

I will do weddings and I will work with the family on what they want but I think I would need to have them notify me atleast a month in advance.

Will you do weddings? If not, then you should consider just working for someone else on the side.

This is not an easy business as a full time person, even tougher part time. Just think about supply alone, you will pay more than someone buying flowers every week and might have trouble competing.

you can do it from your home if you do not charge for the flowers.

Otherwise, that is a biz and you need to satisfy zoning and

most houses do not do so.

    happy new year
