I am trying to find the title of a recent (2012 or 2013) novel about a girl who lives in ancient Greece or Rome whose father is a famous scientist.

I heard about it in a magazine but I forgot the title and author and don't know much else about its plot.

The cover is a painting of a woman from ancient Greece or Rome wearing a red dress (Chiton dress) on. I think it is a close-up of a painting made in the 18th or early 19th century.

I think it was written by a female author.
