I think some people report questions not because they are offensive, but because they do not like the answers.?

Do you?

Absolutely that's why they do that. IF Yahoo was smart (note that I said "IF") they'd come up with a better way to 'disagree' rather than a 'harmless' thumbs-down for someone.

I have sent those idiots many messages about this, but I'm talking to the deaf, dumb, and blind.

That's no reason to report the question. If the answers are offensive then you report the answers. A lot of times the OP deletes the question because someone made him look stupid.

You need to read the Guidelines -- offensiveness is NOT the only violation.

Although there are probably some people who wrongly report things, there are systems to try to minimize that.

Yep - that is often the case. Then there are other questions which aren't good questions to begin with (like "why are all Africans ugly?"), and ones that get asked over and over and over and over (and over and over and over and over) again by the same person, even though they have gotten good answers in the past.

I'm sure that is one of the many reason's that is done. I see no way, as fast as some questions are deleted, that someone is really offended by them.
