Is the name Philomena god awful?

I've really started to like this name, along with the nickname Mina. But everyone else seems to think it's horrid...

    Its gorgeous and uncommon. I actually think its my new GP name. :) I'd never it but its not awful.

    I adore Mina but Philomena sounds way too over the top

    Hey, that's my aunts name. Her nickname is Filly. It's not awful either and if you like it, go for it.

    I don't personally like it. But it doesn;t matter what other people think, are you having a child to impress other people? No, it's your creation you name it whatever you'd like.
