My cat won't drink her water?
When we got my cat she would drink out of our dogs water bowl even tho she had her own so when he passed from old age we put his water and food bowl away.
She eats food but she won't drink water from her own bowl the only time I see her drinking water is when I walk into the bathroom and she's in the tub drinking the water puddles that's left in it and that's hardly ever.
What should I do bringing out my dogs water bowl would make everyone cry because it's still a sensitive thing to talk about so I don't want to do that.
My mom thinks it's because the water from the tub Is colder but I doubt that counsidering it's probably sits there until someone takes a bath we mostly showers because there Separated.
What do you guys think no hateful comments please thnks

Your cat is probably used to your dog's water bowl. Cats are creatures of habit, so it'll be hard for it to accept that it has to drink water from somewhere else. If you absolutely cannot bring your dog's water bowl back, just keep your cat's water bowl and it'll drink from it when it realizes it's not getting it's water bowl back. Remember to change the water frequently because cats like clean water. It likes the water from the tub because the water is more 'fresh' as it changes everytime you shower.

I've read that in nature cats would not drink from a water source which is close to the prey they are eating in case it is contaminated with bacteria from the the prey animal. Is her water bowl next to her food dish and was the dog's bowl in a different location? If the answer to both questions is yes, try moving her water dish to the spot where the dog's bowl was.

I totally agree with Michele the Louis Wain cat. Also it's one of the reasons a lot of cats prefer running water from the faucet/ kitty fountain because in the wild they wouldn't drink stagnant body of water because it's more likely to be contaminated than a moving body of water such as a stream.
