Is it legal for Insurance Companies to Sell my Car Purchase info?

Insurance is now asking to see pricing buyers order from the purchase then selling that info to Web consumer support sites. Does this violate privacy Laws?

Or

If I do show them the great deal I got, and they sell that info for profit to Car Pricing Sites can I ask for a cut?

    It is not a privacy violation unless they identify you by name and address.
