What are some must do's in Cancun?

My boyfriend & I are going to Cancun in January (2014) for 4 days/4 nights. We wanted to go longer but just couldn't afford much more. Anyway, we are staying at an all inclusive. What are some MUST DOs while we are there? One day we decided to go to the ruins in Tulum. That gives us 3 other days. We both like pretty much everything (from laying on the beach to hiking all day), we aren't picky. So, what would you say are must do's while in Cancun? For sure we will be doing the ruins, I have also considered snorkeling, zip-lining, a day dedicated just to purely relaxing on the beach, etc. Thanks!!

For a four day stay, I would say you have it pretty much covered. There are so many things to do and see, even if you had two weeks, you couldn't do everything. Your resort will have all sorts of information on tours and excursions. You can also book these through the tour desks at your resort which I strongly recommend. When you are going through the Cancun airport, there will be people offering you discount tours. Stay away from them or you could be on your way to a timeshare seminar which will ruin your day. They will sometimes pretend to offer you transportation to your resort. Do not show anyone your travel documents until you get outside of the airport where you will find a representative for your resort transfer.

You are paying 100-140 per day extra for the all inclusive. Stay at the resort and enjoy the free food and drinks. You could go to Xcaret but it will cost about 250 for both of you.
