Digital Coax to Harman/Kardon HK-595 speakers?
I have Harman/Kardon HK-595 speakers made for a dell computer. They have three 1/8 input jacks (stereo, digital, and rear) on the subwoofer unit. See link below.
My TV has a Digital (Coaxial) out on it. can I connect the digital coaxial out to the digital in on the speakers. Does it sound like this would be compatible and does such a cable exist?
http://www.eriksonconsumer.com/assets/manuals/manu...
Obviously I am a novice here. Any help would be appreciated...
The digital inputs o the subwoofer are 3.5mm Stereo Female

SPDIF coaxial is SPDIF coaxial.
Simply connect the two jacks using a 75 ohm (RG59 or RG6) video cable.
You can use a piece of "cable TV" line with F connectors on it
if you get a couple of RCA/F adapters.
>> Ordinary audio cables are not suitable,
nor are the "video" portions of cheap A/V cables.

i, use a Fiber Optic cable, it's really good and you will hear more detail in your music than with standard rca cables. But many people say you can't tell the diffrence between the two which is true. i had a coax cable before and i bought my optic to see if there was a sound diffrence. there wasent but i use the optic because its more technologically advanced than the coax. but the fiber optic is a more superior cable because there is less signal loss and coax is becoming obsolete. I would buy fiber optic if i were you.
