how to back up windows v7 and how to find out how much memory for flashdrive?
Had Windows v7 loaded in at purchase. Since it has registration with this number, first would it allow me to back up retail store's version and second, how to do it. How would one find out how much memory for a flashdrive to do it. I know somewhere it would say in a description of the computer and its programs.

Download a LEGAL, clean copy of Win7 from Microsoft, and burn it to a DVD or flashdrive It's around 4 GB as I recall. You can reinstall it when needed and activate using your license key. It won't have any crapware if that came with your machine, just the OS. Keep copies of all your other apps.
The link is a little hard to find cuz they keep moving it at Digital River but start here:

It's also good to keep a copy of a Linux OS to save your bacon when something goes wrong. Or just to try out; but it's addictive. http://www.whylinuxisbetter.net/
