Super effective Return in Pokemon?

So today I was in the Elite 4, training up some low leveled Pokemon, and my Gardevoir had reached the proper level to take on Drasna's Dragon types. So I sent it out, Mega evolved it, and used accidentally hit Return instead of Moonblast in the moves menu. I knew that Return would do a lot of damage because Gardevoir is at max friendship, but when Return hit, it was a one hit kill and it was super effective against the Dragons. Did they make a change to it in X and Y, because Return is a Normal type move and Normal isn't super effective against anything.

Mega Gardevoir's ability is Pixilate which causes all of its Normal-type moves to become Fairy Type. Therefore it hit the dragon with a Fairy-type Return which is supereffective.

Pixilate: Normal-type moves used by the Pokémon to become Fairy-type and receive a 30% boost.

So basically you're using a 130 STAB physical atk with Mega Gardevior 85 atk stat.

Btw, [Round] have a better damage output with 78 BP (boosted) and 165 SpA stat.

    If you're into competitive,

    Round: 60 BP double if use consecutively with an ally. (60 x 2) x 1.3 = 156

(Workable on double & triple battle only)

Echoed Voice: 40 BP; base power increases by 40 each consecutive turn it is used but reaches a maximum power at 200. Base power does not reset if it reached maximum 200 BP.

    1st hit: 40 x 1.3 = 53

    2nd hit: 80 x 1.3 = 104

    3rd hit: 120 x 1.3 = 156

    4th hit: 160 x 1.3 = 208

    5th hit: 200 x 1.3 = 260

(Workable with slow wall, best behind Substitute. 5th hit will take away at least 60% of standard Bold Blissey HP)

    Pokemon Return Move

No, Gardevoir's ability changes to Pixilate when it mega evolves. Pixilate turns all normal-type moves into fairy-type moves, which explains the 1-hit KO.

I'd give it a 9/10 because at that point in the game, you're just about ready for the Elite Four. For the moves: -Infernape: Change Ember to Flare Blitz (which it'll get when you level it up one more level). -Garchomp: Change Dragon Rush to Earthquake. -Staraptor: Ok. -Roserade: Ok. -Floatzel: Ok. -Luxray: Change Tackle to Superpower or Signal Beam. Both are Move Tutor moves by the way. With all those changes, I'd give it a 10.
